Configuring the sound settings


You can change the settings related to sounds, such as the speaker volume and sound effects.
Note
  • Depending on the vehicle model or specifications, available options may vary.
  • Depending on the system or amplifier specifications applied to your vehicle, some functions may not be supported.

  1. On the All Menus screen, press Setup > Sound.
  1. The Sound Settings screen will appear.
  1. Select an option to change.

Premium Sound

You can set the advanced sound options or apply various sound effects.

Speed Dependent Volume Control

You can set the volume to be adjusted automatically according to your driving speed.

Start-up Volume Limit

You can set the system to automatically decrease the volume when turned on, if the volume has been set to too high of a level.

Depending on the vehicle model or specifications, displayed screens may vary.

Using Sound Effects (if equipped)

You can set sound effects via the sound effect icon on the radio/media screen.
Quantum Logic Surround (if equipped)
  • You can enjoy distinct sound according to the location of each instrument.
  • With the options you select, you can enjoy original surround sound like you would hear on a live stage.
Live Dynamic (if equipped)
  • You can enjoy reconstructed dynamic sound.
  • With the options you select, you can enjoy original, natural, or dynamic sound.
Note
  • Depending on the amplifier specifications, you can adjust the sound effects.
  • You can select a sound effect for each type of radio/media mode.
  • Depending on the vehicle model or specifications, you can only turn the sound effects on or off.
  • If you select a sound effect for the Bluetooth audio, a phone projection′s sound effect will be automatically set.

Position

You can select a location where sound will be concentrated in the vehicle. Press a desired location on the seat image or press the arrow buttons to move the focus. To set sound to be centered in the vehicle, press .

Tone

You can adjust the tone and output level of each sound to make certain sounds louder or quieter.
Note
To restore the default settings for all sound modes, press Center.

Guidance

You can change guidance-related settings, such as the voice guidance type or priority of specific sounds over other sounds.

Guidance Volumes

You can adjust the volume levels for individual system features or initialize all volume settings.
Note
To restore the default volume settings for system features, press Reset.

Navigation Voice Guidance

You can configure the navigation guidance functions.
  • End Navigation Voice Guidance Near Destination: Set to end voice guidance near the destination if the destination is saved in the address book.

Navigation Guidance During Calls

You can set to receive navigation guidance during a phone call.

Navigation Volume Priority

You can set to give priority to navigation guidance over radio/media features when both functions are being used simultaneously.

Mute Navigation Guidance

You can press the Mute button on the steering wheel while the voice guidance is playing to mute it for 10 seconds.

Radio Noise

You can select an FM radio noise reduction option for the sound quality of the incoming signal.

Driver Assistance Warning/Driver Assistance

You can set to give priority to the proximity warning feature and lower all other sounds when parking your vehicle.

Connected Device Volumes

You can adjust the volume levels for phone projection features individually or initialize all volume settings.

Android Auto

You can adjust the volume levels individually for the Android smartphone connected to the system.

Apple CarPlay

You can adjust the volume levels individually for the iPhone connected to the system.

Turning on/off the touch sound

You can turn the touch sound on or off by pressing Beep at the top of the sound settings screen.
