Navigation destination setting

Destination search screen

Press [NAV] button. Each time you press the button, the mode switches in the order of destination > route > TPEG > destination mode.

1 Places

Search for the destination by name, initials, address or phone number.

2 Saved Place

Search the saved locations to set the destination.

3 POI Categories

Search for the destination using nearby search.

4 Kia Auto Q

Run Kia AUTO Q to search for locations around the route, current location, destination or selected location or also within a selected area.

5 Address

Search for the destination by road name address, lot number address, street name or village name.

6 Scenic Route

Search destinations by scenic route.

7 Previous Destinations

Set the recent location as the destination.

8 Settings

Move to navigation settings.

9 Favorite

Search the favorites to set the destination.

Setting destination by search

You can search for the destination by name, initials, address or phone number.

1. Press [NAV] > [Places].

2. Enter a name, initials, address or phone number, and press [OK]. (example: Busan station)

Press [OK] to close the keyboard window, and click on the search bar to re-open it.

• To select an area, search by name, initials or address, and then press [All].
• You can press [Best Match] or [Distance] to sort the results accordingly.

3. Press the desired destination on the list. (example: Busan station (KTX))
4. Press [Set as Destination], [Change Destination].

• Press [Change Destination] to set a different destination if there is an existing route set.
• Press [Add Waypoint] to add a waypoint after setting the destination. Refer to “Adding waypoints” for follow-up actions.
• Press [Save] to save the currently selected location. The location will be saved. Press [NAV] > [Saved Place] to view the saved locations.
• Press [V] to make a phone call. If there is no saved phone number or if bluetooth is not connected, this option is not available.
• Press [Parking] to display or hide the parking lot icons among the nearby facilities.

5. Press the desired route.

• [Fast]: Provides a fast route using traffic information.
• [Easy]: Provides the most optimal route considering distance and cost in addition to traffic information.
• [ECO]: Provides the route with the minimum use of toll roads in addition to traffic information.

• [Recommended]: Provides the route that takes the least time to the destination.
• [Minimize Cost]: Provides the route with the minimum use of toll roads.
• [Shorter Dist.]: Provides the shortest route to the destination.

6. Press [Start Guidance].

Setting destinations by POI

You can set the destination by searching various facility categories such as dining, shopping and lodging facilities.

1. Press [NAV] > [POI Categories].

2. Select a desired facility category from the list. (example: Fast food)

• [Along Route]: Facility search in the neighboring area of the route.
• [Near Current Position]: Facility search in the neighboring area of the current vehicle location.
• [Near Destination]: Facility search near the destination.
• [Near Center of Map]: Facility search in the neighboring area of selected map.
• [Near City Center]: Facility search within a selected area.
• You can press [Cost], [Best Match], [Distance] to sort the results accordingly.

3. Select a desired item on the list.

Setting destination by address search

You can search for the destination by road name address, lot number address, street name or village name.

1. Press the [NAV] button.
2. Press [Address].

• [New]: Search for the destination using road name address search.
• [Old]: Search for the destination using lot number address search.
• [Dong Search]: Search for the destination by entering a village name.
• [Street Search]: Search for the destination by entering a road name.

Address search by street name

1. Press [New] on the address search screen.
2. Enter the House No. > Street.

You can switch pages by using the Jump button on the right. Enter the initials of the area name. (For Gangnam-gu, enter “G.”)

3. Enter the building number and then press [OK].

,Reference

If [OK] is pressed without entering a building number, the numbers of major facilities in the corresponding area are displayed. If the number of building is partially entered, a list of buildings is displayed.

Address search by lot number

1. Press [Old] on the address search screen.

Enter the House No. > Dong/Ri. You can switch pages by using the Jump button on the right. Enter the initials of the area name. (For Gangnam-gu, enter “G.”)

2. Enter the lot number and press [OK].

If [OK] is pressed without entering a lot number, the lot numbers of major facilities in the corresponding area are displayed. If the lot number is partially entered, a list of lot numbers is displayed. Press a desired lot number.

Address search by street name

1. Press [Street Search] on the address search screen.
2. Enter the road name and press [OK].

• Press [] to view previously used search keywords.

3. Select a desired item on the list.
4. Enter the house number and then press [Done].

If [Done] is pressed without entering a building number, the numbers of major facilities in the corresponding area are displayed. If the number of building is partially entered, a list of buildings is displayed. Press the desired number.

Address search by village

1. Press [Dong Search] on the address search screen.
2. Enter the dong name and press [OK].

• Press [] to view previously used search keywords.

3. Select a desired item on the list.
4. Enter the house number and press [Done].

If [Done] is pressed without entering a house number, the lot numbers of major facilities in the corresponding area are displayed. If the lot number is partially entered, a list of lot numbers is displayed. Press a desired lot number.

Setting destination by previous destinations search

You can search the favorite locations or destinations or recently searched locations to set the destination.

1. Press [NAV] > [Previous Destinations].
2. Press the desired destination on the list.

• [Freq. Visited Points]: Displays the recently frequented locations.
• [Destinations]: Displays all past destinations
• [Searches]: Displays the searched locations.
• Press [Delete Items] to delete the recent locations. Refer to step 4 in "Deleting saved locations” for follow-up actions.
• You can press [Date] or [Name] to sort the results accordingly.

Setting destination by saved locations search

You can set a location saved in Saved Locations as the destination (Favorites, Group 1, Group 2, Group 3).

1. Press [NAV] > [Saved Place].
2. Select a group you want. (example: Group 1)

3. Press the desired destination on the list.
4. Refer to steps 4-6 in "Setting destination by search” for follow-up actions.

Setting destination using Kia AUTO Q search

You can set the destination by using Kia AUTO Q search.

1. Press [NAV] > [Kia Auto Q].
2. Press the desired destination on the list.

• [Along Route]: Kia AUTO Q search in the neighboring area of the route.
• [Near Current Position]: Kia AUTO Q search in the neighboring area of the current vehicle location.
• [Near Destination]: Kia AUTO Q search near the destination.
• [Near Center of Map]: KIA AUTO Q search in the neighboring area of selected map.
• [Near City Center]: Kia AUTO Q search within a selected area.
• You can press [Best Match] or [Distance] to sort the results accordingly.

3. Refer to steps 4-6 in "Setting destination by search" for follow-up actions.

Setting destinations by scenic route.

Sets the destination to the scenic route.

1. Press [NAV] > [Saved Place] on the map screen.

• [All]: Search for all scenic routes.
• [Along Route]: Search for scenic routes around your route.
• [Near My Location]: Search for scenic routes around your current location.
• [Near Destination]: Search for scenic routes near my location.
• [Favorite Course]: Search for the scenic route you have set favorite course.

2. Select the desired item after pressing the desired location in the list.

• [Set as Destination]: Sets the destination.
• [Add Waypoint]: Adds waypoint after setting destination.
• [Save]: Adds frequently used address to the address book menu.
• If you want to display parking information, press [Parking].

Setting home, work, favorite 1-4 as destination

You can set the location saved as home, work, favorites 1-4 as the destination.

1. Press [NAV] > [Home], [Work], [Favorite 1-4].

2. Refer to steps 5-6 in "Setting destination by search” for follow-up actions.

Setting destination via scroll

Set the destination on the currently displayed map.

1. Select the desired location on the map screen.

The selected point will move to the center of the screen.

2. Press [Set as Destination].

• Press [POI Categories] to search neighboring facilities of the selected location. Refer to “Searching facilities” for follow-up actions.

3. Refer to Step 5-6 in "Setting destination by search” for follow-up actions.

,Reference

If the map is moved by scroll, the map is fixed and does not move even when the vehicle moves. Press the [MAP] button on the head unit to move to the current location screen. If you enable [Automatic Return after Scrolling] in “Language settings”, the screen will automatically switch to the current location screen after 15 seconds without any operation after scrolling. When scrolling through the map, the location names are displayed at the top of the screen. If you have moved the map, the map direction does not change.

Setting destination using load tours

You can use previously used routes again without having to set the waypoints and destination again.

[Load Tours] is not enabled until the route is saved. Refer to "Saving route" on how to save the route.

1. Press [NAV] > [Route] > [Load Tours].
2. Select a desired item on the list.

3. Press [Route].
4. When route search is complete, press [Start Guidance].
