Setting SW info/update

SW information

You can view information such as the SW version, FIRMWARE version, NAVI APP version, MAP version and MON S/W version.

  1. Press the [SETUP] button.
  2. Press [SW Info/Update].

The version information varies depending on to the system updates.

Update

Updates are necessary for supplementing the system software, adding new functions and updating the map.

You can download the file containing the latest map and software at http://red.kia.com and then run an update using an SD card.

For more details on update, refer to the above website.

  1. Insert the SD card containing the latest file into the SD card slot.

,Reference

  • If you have downloaded the latest update file in the map SD card: Insert the SD card into the SD card slot, then the update pop-up window will appear. If you select cancel, the system will reboot automatically.
  • If you have downloaded the latest update file in an empty SD card: Insert the SD card into the SD card slot, then the update pop-up window will appear. If you select Cancel, a pop-up window will appear asking you to check the SD card condition.
  1. Press the [SETUP] button.
  2. Press [General] > [SW Info/Update] > [Update].

  1. Press [OK].
  2. Update proceeds automatically. After the update is complete, the system automatically reboots.
  3. After the auto-reboot, the update complete pop-up window appears. Press [OK].

,Reference

  • Update may take tens of minutes depending on the data size.
  • To update the system, open the protective cover for SD card, download a new version into the card and insert the card into the slot to proceed.
  • Data can be lost if power is shut off or the SD card is removed during update. Be cautious in this regard.

You can find information about storage space, major update history, and web manual.

Storage

You can view the details of the voice memo storage (total storage space, used space, remaining available space).

  1. Press the [SETUP] button.
  2. Press [General] > [System Info] > [Storage]

What's new

You can view the major update history.

  1. Press the [SETUP] button.
  2. Press [General] > [System Info] > [What's New].

Date/Time settings

You can set the date and time applied to the system.

  1. Press the [SETUP] button.
  2. Press [General] > [Date/Time].

The [Date/Time] setting option is available only when a GPS signal is received.

Language settings

You can set the system’s display language to Korean or English.

  1. Press the [SETUP] button.
  2. Press [General] > [Language].

If English is selected, voice guide setting and voice recognition are not supported.

Keyboard settings

You can set the keyboard type used in the system.

  1. Press the [SETUP] button.
  2. Press [General] > [Keyboard].

Media options

You can make media operation settings.

  1. Press the [SETUP] button.
  2. Press [General] > [Media Options].

  1. Select a desired item.

Reset

You can initialize the entire system settings.

  1. Press the [SETUP] button.
  2. Press [General] > [Reset].

  1. Press [Default] > [Yes] to reset the system to the default settings.
