Using the Plug-in Hybrid menu (PHEV only)

You can see the driving and energy information, schedule charging, or search for charging stations.

On the All Menus screen, press PHEV.

The Plug-in Hybrid screen provides the following features and information:

  1. Can see the drivable range under the remaining battery amount and search for nearby charging stations. See "Viewing the drivable range with remaining battery level (PHEV only)."
  2. Can check information such as drivable distance and battery status. See "Viewing the energy information (PHEV only)."
  3. Can schedule a charging or set the related options. See "Using the charging management features (PHEV only)."
  4. Can check the eco-driving information. See "Viewing the eco-driving information (PHEV only)."
  5. Can see the energy flows for each component while driving. See "Viewing the energy flow (PHEV only)."
  6. The list of menu items appears.
    • •  Display Off: Turns off the screen. To switch the screen back on, press the screen or briefly press the power button (if equipped).
    • •  User's Manual on Web (QR Code): Displays the QR code that provides access to the online user manual for the system.
    • •  Split Screen: Can turn on or off the split screen mode.
  • Depending on vehicle model or specifications, the screen layout and available options may differ.

You can check the drivable range under the remaining battery amount. You can also find the routes to nearby charging stations if necessary.

  1. On the Plug-in Hybrid screen, press EV Range.
  2. On the EV Range screen, check the drivable distance and nearby charging stations.

    The drivable range is distinguished by a blue circle. Using the icons within the drivable range, you can check the locations and availabilities of charging stations.

    1. Can see the list of nearby charging stations.
    2. Set a filter to view specific types of charging stations on the map.
    3. Used to change the map display mode.
      • •   (North Up 2D): Displays the map with the north fixed at the top.
      • •   (Heading Up 2D): Rotates the map depending on the travel direction.
      • •   (Heading Up 3D): Rotates the map depending on the travel direction for 3D view.
    4. Zooms in the map.
    5. Zooms out the map.
    6. Refreshes the drivable range.
    7. Shows the types of charging-station status icons.
    8. The list of menu items appears.
      • •  Display Off: Turns off the screen. To switch the screen back on, press the screen or briefly press the power button (if equipped).
      • •  User's Manual on Web (QR Code): Displays the QR code that provides access to the online user manual for the system.
      • •  Split Screen: Can turn on or off the split screen mode.

If the distance to the set destination exceeds the drivable range, you can use the function that guides you along a route with charging stations within the drivable range.

  • Depending on the third-party service provider, information for some charging stations may differ.
  1. On the Plug-in Hybrid screen, press EV Range.
  2. On the EV Range screen, press List.
  3. Specify the range of search from the left of the screen, and then select a charging station from the right.
    • To view specific charging stations only, press the and select a charging speed and operating organization.
    • To set a charging stations as a favorite, press to the right of its name. When a frequently visiting place is set as a favorite, you can easily search the location from the Favorite Stations menu.
    • To access the online user's manual on the EV Charging Stations screen, press User's Manual on Web (QR Code) and then scan the displayed QR code.
  4. Check the location of the destination and then press Set as Destination.
    • When there are previous destinations, press Change Destination Yes.

You can see the drivable distance and the estimated charging time.

On the Plug-in Hybrid screen, press Energy Information.

Energy information screen

  1. Can see the total range & battery status and drivable distances for each fuel type (electricity, gasoline).
  2. Can see the full charging time for AC charging.
  3. The list of menu items appears.
    • •  Display Off: Turns off the screen. To switch the screen back on, press the screen or briefly press the power button (if equipped).
    • •  User's Manual on Web (QR Code): Displays the QR code that provides access to the online user manual for the system.
    • •  Split Screen: Can turn on or off the split screen mode.
  • The drivable distance is an estimate based on the real-time fuel economy. The drivable range may differ, depending on the driver's driving patterns.

You can set to automatically charge the battery according to the preset departure time. In addition, you can set to automatically charge the battery according to the options for off-peak electricity time and off-peak charging priority.

  1. On the Plug-in Hybrid screen, press Charge Management.
  2. Select and then change the settings.

Setting for charging

Set a schedule to automatically charge the vehicle according to the next departure time.

Setting for charging current

You can set the charging current depending on the installed charger type.

  1. On the Charge Management screen, press Charging Current.
  2. Select a charging type to set the charging current.
  3. Set the charging current and then press OK.
  • The charging time may vary depending on charging conditions.
  • When you set an inappropriate charging current, the battery may not be charged properly, causing a charging error.

You can set the departure time and off-peak electricity time.

  1. On the Plug-in Hybrid screen, press Charge Management.
  2. Press on the right of Next Departure.
  3. Select the departure time and then press for the item.
    • To access the online user's manual on the Next Departure Time Settings screen, press User's Manual on Web (QR Code) and then scan the displayed QR code.
  4. Set the time and day and then press OK.

    On the Charge Management screen, you can see the set departure time.

Scheduling a charging

  1. On the Charge Management screen, press Charging Settings.
  2. Check Scheduled Charging and then press .
  3. Select and then change the settings.
    1. You can set the off-peak electricity time.
    2. You can charge the battery for the Next Departure, primarily using the off-peak electricity time.
    3. You can charge the battery only at the off-peak electricity time.
  4. Press OK.
  • Scheduled charging is performed only when the charging connector is connected to the vehicle.
  • Scheduled charging is synchronized with the preset departure time and its charging time may differ depending on the environment.

You can see the eco-driving information and driving records.

On the Plug-in Hybrid screen, press ECO Driving.

Viewing the fuel economy information

You can see the fuel economy for driving.

On the ECO Driving screen, press Fuel Economy.

  1. Can see the graphs for hybrid fuel economy and electric motor usage.
  2. Can see the average fuel economy of the vehicle.
  3. Can initialize all fuel economy graphs.
  • The graphs are updated every 2.5 minutes. When you stop the vehicle, the graphs are initialized.
  • The average fuel economy is the average fuel economy accumulated after fueling. Accordingly, even when the graph is initialized, the information is maintained.

Viewing the PHEV fuel economy history

You can check the driving dates, distances, and average fuel economy for previous driving records.

On the ECO Driving screen, press Fuel Economy History.

  • When there is the best fuel economy, appears before the record.
  • To delete a record, press Delete History.

You can see the energy flows of the vehicle.

On the Plug-in Hybrid screen, press Energy Flow.
