myQ Connected Garage


Getting Started

Welcome to myQ Connected Garage! This application allows you to seamlessly control your garage door directly from your vehicle for greater convenience and security.

Before you begin using the system, ensure the following:

  • •  Vehicle Software: The vehicle's software is up to date.
  • •  myQ Subscription: Ensure you have a valid Chamberlain myQ subscription and the myQ Smart Garage Control hub.
  • •  Garage Door Opener: The garage door opener device is properly installed and paired with the vehicle system.
  • •  Internet Connection: Ensure you have an active internet connection for setup and remote access.

How to Link Your Account

  1. Open the "Connected Garage" Application in the vehicle.
  2. Scan the QR code with your mobile device.
  3. The QR code will take you to the Kia Access application on your phone.
  4. Enter your valid username and password to log in.
  5. Go to the Connected Garage widget in the Features tab.
  6. Select [Link] to connect to your myQ account.
  7. Enter your valid myQ username and password to log in. Once linked, you can control and monitor your garage door using the vehicle’s screen.

How to Unlink Your Account

  1. Open the Kia Access app on your phone.
  2. Go to the Connected Garage widget in the Features tab.
  3. Select [Unlink Account] to disconnect your myQ account.

Viewing Garage Door List and Status

  1. On the vehicle's Home screen, click on the Connected Garage app.
  2. You will see a list of paired garage doors displayed.
  3. Each garage door will show its status:
    • •  Open
    • •  Closed
    • •  Opening/Closing

Automatic Open/Close

Garage Door Set & Forget

The Set & Forget feature allows you to store your garage door’s location and enable automatic opening or closing based on the distance you set from the garage.

How to Use Set & Forget:

  1. Open the Garage Door Details card in the vehicle's Connected Garage app.
  2. Set the location of your garage door to store it for future use.
  • If needed, you can also delete (forget) the stored location.

Auto-open and Auto-close Settings:

  1. Scroll down on the Garage Door Details card to view the Auto-open / Auto-close settings.
  2. Toggle to the Auto-open or Auto-close feature based on your preference.
  • Select the distance range (in feet) at which the system should automatically open or close the garage door.
