Cautions on using disc
- After using a disc, store it in a case to prevent scratches.
- Using a disc of a non-standard shape (8cm, heart shape, pentagonal shape) may cause failure.
- Do not clean a disc using alcohol, benzene, thinner or other chemical solvents. Such chemical solvents damage the disc surface.
- Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, high humidity or high temperature may deform a disc.
- Playing a disc that is deformed or stained with foreign matters may result in sound skipping or lowered sound or video quality. Writing on either the front or back surface of the disc may damage the surface.
- To clean the recording surface of the disc, carefully wipe off fingerprints or dust using a soft cloth.
- A data CD cannot be played. (However, some discs may be played abnormally.)
- Be cautious not to let foreign matters enter the disc slot. Foreign matters may damage the inside of device.
- The device may fail to operate normally at too high or low a temperature.
- Moisture can form on the lens on a rainy or humid day or immediately after turning the heater on inside the vehicle. In this case, normal operation can fail because the device cannot read the disc. Eject the disc and wait until the moistures are dried.
- Driving on a rough road for a long time or causing a severe impact on the vehicle may result in abnormal disc playing.
- Do not attach any sticker or label on the disc. The sticker or label may fall off and damage the system.
- Do not insert two or more discs simultaneously into the disc slot. Doing so may damage the disc player.
- Do not hold or pull the disc while it is being inserted into the disc player by the automatic loading mechanism. Doing so may damage the disc and the disc player.
- Non-genuine discs may cause recognition failure or system damage.

Cautions on using USB device
Connect a USB device to use after starting the engine. If you start the engine with a USB device inserted, the USB device can be damaged.
Non-standard format files are not playable.
- As for the MP3 and WMA file formats, only the music files with a bit rate of 8Kbps to 320Kbps are playable.
- Be cautious of static electricity when connecting or disconnecting a USB device.
- Encrypted MP3 players are not recognized.
- External USB devices may not be recognized depending on the conditions of the device.
- FAT 16, FAT 32, exFAT and NTFS are supported.
- Some USB devices may not be supported due to compatibility issues.
- Be cautious to avoid any contact between the USB connection area and a human body or other objects.
- Repeatedly connecting and disconnecting a USB device within a short period time can cause failure.
- Make sure to connect or disconnect a USB device after turning off the audio power.
- The recognition time of USB devices can vary depending on the type, capacity and format of stored files, and this is not a product failure.
- USB devices connected via a USB hub or extension cable may cause recognition failure. Make sure to connect a USB device directly to the multimedia terminal of the vehicle.
- Files may not be played when you upload application programs from certain USB devices.
- When USB devices that cannot be recognized as a portable disc such as MP3 player, mobile phone and digital camera are connected, files may not be played properly.
- Some mobile devices may not be properly charged via USB.
- Proper operation is not guaranteed except for the standard product (metal cover type) USB drive.
- Operation is not guaranteed for the HDD type, CF and SD memories.
- Files applied with DRM (digital rights management) are not playable.
- USB memory sticks (SD type or CF type) used with an adapter may not be recognized.

- When the file names of image and subtitles are different, the subtitles may not be displayed.

Cautions on using iPod
- Since communications protocol is not supported for some iPod, the contents may not be played.
- If the iPod fails due to its own malfunction, reset the iPod and try again. (See the owner's manual.)
- You can charge iPod by connecting it via a standard iPod cable with the ACC on.
- Use the standard iPod cable to play iPod. Operation is not guaranteed if you use a non-standard cable to play iPod.
- Use iPod fully synchronized with iTunes. Adding or deleting tracks during play can cause abnormal operation.
- If iPod and Bluetooth are connected through the same iPhone, the Bluetooth audio feature cannot be used.
- iOS10.3.2 or higher versions are recommended if you are using an iPod touch or iPhone.
