Before you think it is failure
Under any of the followings circumstances (driving area or driving conditions), the vehicle location mark may not match the actual current location. The following cases are not a product failure.
- When you drive on a narrow-angled Y-shaped road, the vehicle location mark appears on other directions.
- The vehicle location mark is displayed on an adjacent road.
- When you are displaying a street map, the vehicle location mark or path indicator is shown on the opposite lane or other spots than the roads.
- If you switch to a scale map other than the street map, the vehicle location mark is shown on other roads.
- After the vehicle is transported on a ferry, carriage truck, etc., the vehicle location mark is on a location before the transport.
- When driving on a spiral-shaped road after removing the battery terminal.
- When driving on a steep mountain road or a sharp curve.
- When coming out to a regular road from an underground parking lot or multistory parking space or after the vehicle makes a turn on a turntable.
- When repeating stop and go or driving slowly in congestion or at an intersection.
- When driving on a slippery road (sandy or snow-covered road).
- When driving with a tire chain installed.
- When you have replaced a tire (especially if using an emergency tire and studless tire).
- When using a non-designated tire.
- If the tires on all of the wheels use a non-designated pressure, the system performs modification. (In some cases, it may take a few minutes.)
In below circumstances, directions guide to the destination may not be properly provided depending on the search conditions and driving locations. The following cases are not a product failure.
- An instruction to drive straight is given when you are driving on a straight road.
- No instruction is given after you make a turn at an intersection.
- There are intersections where no instructions are given.
- An instruction to make a U-turn is given in an area where U-turn is prohibited.
- A prohibited-road instruction (access prohibited, road under construction) is given.
- When there is no road or only narrow roads leading to the destination, the GPS guidance may only provide directions up to a different location than the destination.
- When you deviate from the route (when you made a turn at a wrong intersection), the instruction can be incorrect.
When you run a new route search, the following may happen. The following cases are not a product failure.
- When you are making a turn at an intersection, the guide may be incorrect.
- When you are driving at a high speed, the new route search may take longer than usual.
- An instruction to make a U-turn is given in an area where U-turn is prohibited.
- A prohibited-road instruction (access prohibited, road under construction) is given.
- When there is no road or only narrow roads leading to the destination, the GPS guidance may only provide directions up to a different location than the destination.
- When you deviate from the route (when you made a turn at a wrong intersection), the instruction can be incorrect.
