Cautions upon connecting Bluetooth phone

Pairing and connecting the head unit and a Bluetooth phone

To use the Bluetooth feature, make sure the Bluetooth on your phone is turned on.
Refer to your phone’s user guide.

When no phones have been paired

  1. Press [Phone] on the home screen. Or press the Bluetooth call button on the steering wheel remote control.

  1. Search and select the vehicle name on Bluetooth device registration waiting screen.

  1. Check the passkey and approve the registration on the Bluetooth device.

  1. Requests permission to access your contacts and call history.

  1. Requests permission to access your messages.

  1. The Bluetooth device is connected.

,Note

  • The initial vehicle name is registered as "Kia".
  • Depending on the Bluetooth device, the certification no. may or may not be entered.
  • For iOS phones, set the Bluetooth notification.

When a phone is already paired

  1. Press [Settings] > [Phone connection] on the home screen.

Press the name of device to connect.

  1. To add a new Bluetooth device, press [Add].
  2. Search and select the vehicle name on Bluetooth device registration waiting screen.

  1. Check the passkey and approve the registration on the Bluetooth device.

,Note

  • Up to 6 Bluetooth devices are allowed for the registration.
  • One Bluetooth hands-free or two Bluetooth audio device are allowed.
  • Only one Bluetooth device is allowed for each registration.
  • No device can be registered while connecting a Bluetooth device.
  • Only features related to Bluetooth hands-free, the phonebook synchronization, the message synchronization and Bluetooth audio are supported.
  • Bluetooth hands-free is specified only on the front screen.

Change connection

You can connect another Bluetooth device that has already been paired with the head unit.

  1. Press [Menu] > [Change connection] on the phone screen.

  1. Press the desired Bluetooth device on the pop-up.

,Note

You can use the change device function by pressing [18401.png] on the screen.

Disconnecting the device

  1. Press [Phone] > [Menu] > [Phone connection settings] on the home screen.
  2. Press [19192.png] of the connected device. The Bluetooth hands-free connection is disconnected.

,Note

Press [19180.png] to disconnect the Bluetooth audio connection.

Deleting devices

  1. Press [Phone] > [Menu] > [Phone connection settings] on the home screen.
  2. Press [Menu] > [Delete devices].

  1. Select the desired item, Press [Delete] > [Yes].

,Note

When a device is deleted, the recent calls and the contacts of the device saved in the head unit are entirely deleted.
